Another weekend gone

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond on Friday night. I think are pretty set as far as kitchen, bath, bed stuff goes between there and Target. I think we have one more place to register - Lowe's or Home Depot. Got to have some fun stuff for Eli. It can't be all girly right? Saturday was a busy day. We met with our minister at 9:30am. So much for sleeping in. I like him. He's got a nice soothing voice. This will be good for when I am bawling my eyes out right? Turns out Eli wants to try to write our own vows. Bring on some more tears right?!
We also finally took our engagement photos with our photographer. It was a beautiful fall day. Unexpectedly warm in the low 70's and sunny. I hope they turned out great. It's hard to tell when you aren't the one behind the camera. However, there should be some great fall colors in them with the leaves. Time will tell - we have 2 to 3 weeks to wait to see them. Very exciting.

170 days...

Time is just ticking away. I took 2 of my bridesmaids (Amery & Taryn) to see Cedarwood for the first time on Saturday. I think it's going to be so pretty and so much fun. I just hope that it's warm. We also went to David's Bridal and got their dresses ordered along with my junior bridesmaid, Carly, (Eli's daughter). We had a great assistant there at the store. Made it real easy and quick. We stopped off at a local bridal store to look for veils because I don't have one yet and somehow I ended up trying on dresses even though I have mine already. It just reconfirmed that the dress I have is the right one for me.

180 days to go..... Well, I've been bad. It's been way over a month since I've last been here. Let's see, what have we done? We've created save the date magnets thanks to Jen and mailed them out. Jen created the magnet layout. Aren't you impressed? We've found a minister to marry us - Mr. Ralph Griggs. We meet with him in 2 weeks. Our engagement photos were supposed to be today but we postponed them. It had been raining here recently and the ground is soggy and muddy. Hopefully there will be no rain 2 weekends from now and the leaves on the trees will still be there. We most importantly had our meeting with the fine ladies at Cedarwood to begin planning the details of our wedding. There are so many decisions. Hopefully I've made the right ones and picked the right colors.

The Beginning

So in addition to starting a webpage for our wedding for our guests, I've decided to start a blog to talk about wedding happenings and decisions and stuff. Who knows where it will lead.

Tonight Eli & I registered at Target. Apparently we were there for close to 3 hours! It didn't feel that long. I think we'll also register at Lowe's and Macy's or Kohls. Not sure. I am also working on some sort of Save The Dates. Part of me says a magnet would be cool but a card would be more cost efficient. Also, I kind of want to be artsy and do it myself but the other side of me says that I know that my weekends and weeknights are short enough without adding this project. Eh. I am scouring the internet for inspiration....
